Evangelist Jonathan Barber

Evangelist Jonathan Barber

Jonathan and Rebecca Barber and Samuel

Jonathan graduated from Baptist College of Ministry in 2005 with a B.A. in Bible, and again in 2008 with an M.A. in Bible. During his college years he traveled with evangelist Jim Van Gelderen and the War of Special Forces. After Jonathan married his wife, Rebecca, they traveled with the Van Gelderens for a year assisting with both the War of Special Forces and local church Revival meetings.

In 2008, Jonathan became the Staff Evangelist for Baptist College of Ministry. The BCM Evangelistic team was immediately formed in conjunction with Minutemen Ministries. That summer, the Cola-Clash was launched, and the Barbers hit the road fulltime. In 2009, the Lord expanded their team with the birth of their first child, Samuel Isaac. God has greatly blessed their work with Minutemen Ministries these past few years.

The Barbers travel with the Cola-Clash during the summer, and pursue other evangelistic meetings as God directs during the remainder of the year. One such opportunity was a 6-month stint in Arklow, Ireland for the purpose of planting a church. As a result of that opportunity, the Lord has given the Barber’s a burden for street preaching, and church planting as well. In the Fall of 2011, the Barbers will be launching the Netcasters Evangelistic Team. This team will seek to provide pastors with the help they need to see laymen trained in evangelism. The Barbers are very excited about the potential that this team has in seeing souls saved and soul-winners trained all around the country.

Whether behind a microphone at the Cola-Clash, on a busy street corner downtown, or in a church auditorium, Jonathan’s burden is to preach the Gospel in the power of the Spirit, so that the world would come to know Christ as Savior.
