Ministry Preview

Summary

The War is an exciting three-night event for teens brought to your church by the Minutemen Evangelistic Team. The team brings all the equipment for the event, performs all of the setup and preparation, and spends two days "recruiting" young people from the schools and community to come to the event. The team also leads the three-night event itself, running the exciting competitions and partnering with your church people to create an enjoyable atmosphere and thereby to open their hearts for the message. The goal of each night is to clearly present the gospel and invite young people to trust Christ as their Savior.

Public Schools

The team seeks to invite students from public schools in the area as well as the community.

Reaching Unreached Lives

Reach an often-neglected segment of the community that needs the gospel.

Generate New Contacts

Teens who come provide contact information you can use for continued ministry.

Teen-oriented Fun

All of the competitions are geared towards teens in a way they will enjoy.

Epic Competitions

Many of the events are larger-than-life, like Big Ball Volleyball, Spoke Tackle, and Tug of War over the Mud Pit.

Inclusive Activities

Teens don't need to be a sports star to have fun in these competitions. Everyone can have fun!

Clean Humor

Comedy sketches each night provide family-friendly humor that teens will actually want to laugh at.

Controlled Atmosphere

Even with large crowds, the team is capable of keeping things under control.

High Energy

The event is full of opportunities for teens to be loud, to lose themselves, and to open their hearts.

Testimony & Song

Near the conclusion, the event turns to the gospel with a testimony and song from the team.

Biblical Preaching

The evangelist presents a clear, engaging, and forthright message on the gospel.

Thorough Invitation

Teens are invited to respond to the message and speak to a counselor, where they trust Christ.

Our Goal: Reaching Teens with the Gospel

  • Declaring the gospel to lost teens.
  • Inviting teens to trust Christ.
  • Opening doors into lives, schools, and families.

Schedule

The team schedules meetings from January to May each year. Each meeting runs from Wednesday through Monday.

Kickoff Service

The team runs the Wednesday evening service, sharing special music, testimonies, and how the church can best be involved in the week. Brother Bosler will challenge the church through the sermon.

Prep and Recruiting

The team sets up the field and decorates the "War Room." The team also works with schools during the day and spends their entire afternoons and evenings "recruiting" teens in the community.

The War Nights

Each night from 6-9pm, the event features exciting competition, free food, comedy, trivia, and much more to engage the teens. The night concludes with a gospel message and invitation.

The Team

The team consists of Evangelist Bobby Bosler and his family, who live in their fifth-wheel RV, two college-aged young men, and one college-aged young lady. The young men and young lady will need lodging.

Finances

The team does not have a set fee, but we do suggest an honorarium of $1,500 to cover fuel and other team expenses. We also suggest taking up a separate love offering for the Evangelist and his family. Other financial considerations would include food for the teen meals during the evening events and fuel for recruiting vehicles during the week.

Facilities

We suggest having access to a level field of about 75 ft. square for the outdoor competitions and a room in the church that can seat anywhere from 60–150 teens.

Follow-Up

The team will leave all registration and decision cards with the church so that you can have continued ministry with those who came and trusted Christ.

Meet
the BOSLERS

The Boslers are from Falls Baptist Church in Menomonee Falls, WI, where Bobby is Staff Evangelist under Pastor Wayne Van Gelderen. They have been traveling in evangelism with Minutemen Ministries doing The War and Cola Clash since 2011.

Jim Van Gelderen

Evangelist, Minutemen Ministries

Evangelist Bobby Bosler has spent more than a decade leading the Minutemen Evangelistic Team that conducts The War evangelistic outreach to teens. God has used him to reach hundreds of teenagers with the Gospel. Bob has also established himself as an effective preacher to God's people as well. His wife Abi is ministry minded and is an asset to his ministry. I highly recommend him to your consideration.

Pastor, Falls Baptist Church

If ever there was a day in which we need evangelists that are Spirit-filled, doctrinally precise and fearless in biblical application it is today. Evangelist Bobby Bosler had been that type of evangelist for a number of years.  God’s hand has been powerfully upon his life and ministry. It is my joy to recommend him as an effective evangelist and revivalist. I know he will be used of God to edify and strengthen the local church in a way that will have a lasting impact.

Pastor, Canaan Baptist Church

Brother Bosler will help your ministry! He is certainly not a novice to local church ministry or the field of evangelism. He has been preaching extensively to teens nationwide for many years and helping local churches. Hundreds have been saved through his preaching. I love, however, that Brother Bosler's preaching is not one-dimensional, just telling how one can be saved. Instead, the Lord is using him to help churches, including ours, to fulfill Christ's command of making disciples. Through his passionate and humble spirit, I am confident he will also be a blessing to your church.

Shawn Cuthbertson

Evangelist

I want to take the time to give my full and confident recommendation for my friend, Evangelist Bobby Bosler and The War Team. Brother Bosler brought the War to our church, Liberty Baptist in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on three different occasion. I can honestly say that the meeting was not only the most successful effort we have had in reaching young people for Christ, but it probably did more for our church as a whole than any other meeting we ever had. I do not believe that any church who has the Bosler family and The War Team in will be disappointed in that decision.

Jonathan Barber

Pastor, Ann Arbor Baptist Church

Brother Bosler has continued to be passionate in the calling God has given him.  He is an example of an evangelist who walks by faith, and knows the importance of battlefield prayer.  He and his wife have a humble heart, and a willingness to serve the Lord and His church.  God has used them to be a blessing to us, and I know that you will be encouraged by their ministry as well.  I'm glad to be able to recommend their ministry to you.

Josiah Kagin

Pastor, Grace Baptist Church

I have known Bro. Bosler since we were in Bible college together and it is a real blessing to serve the Lord together in this generation. Our church has been edified by his preaching ministry. Many times he has partnered with us to lead community teen outreaches, preach in Sunday services as well as preach our winter revival. His love for Christ, his carefulness in preaching and his heart to encourage believers in their relationship with Christ and one another has always edified our church family. I would highly recommend his ministry to you.
